Today I had to sit through the child support proceedings.
My ex-wife's shark lawyer is making some spurious claims.
I'm sure they will be rejected, he just wants to try to break me down.
It has been two years since our settlement agreement and
we agreed to terminate lifetime alimony.
But he is throwing wild charges against the wall in hopes they will stick
so he can get some more fees from me. It's a no-risk gamble for him.
He knows the court will never sanction him because, nobody will hold a
single mother accountable for the actions of her rogue attorney.
This visit to the Courthouse was different though.
This time I sat with all the dads who are jailed
Me being tarred with the same bureaucratic brush.
You know today I saw the face of evil
What our government is doing to men and their children.
All these guys who are down on their luck.
Facing months of jail time, until they can come up with money
they have no chance of earning.
In orange and Black-striped jumpsuits.

Just because they can't pay the women who have control of their children.
I felt a dramatic re-dedication of purpose today.
Justice is coming.
